Donna Mae Schuler

Donna Mae Schuler, 82, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late James D. Schuler, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2009.

Born on February 16, 1942, in Shrewsbury, Donna was the daughter of the late George V. and Grace A. (Shirey) Wise. A dedicated and cherished employee of Saubel's Market in Shrewsbury, Donna worked as a cashier for 51 years until a couple months prior to her passing. Her warmth and kind-hearted nature made her a favorite among both customers and coworkers, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. Beyond her career, Donna was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joy came from her family, to whom she was a source of love, strength, and unwavering support.

Donna is survived by her three children: Tonie Stiffler and husband Bill; Todd Schuler; and Tedd Schuler, Sr. and partner Bonnie Price. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna is also survived by her sister Mary Lambert and husband Jim. She was preceded in death by her sister Sandra Forbes, and her brother Larry Wise and wife Connie.

A public gathering to celebrate Donna's life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until a memorial service begins at 12:00 p.m. at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donna's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
