Donna L. (Singer) Black New Freedom - Donna L. (Singer) Black, 81, of New Freedom, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her home. She was the wife of the late William U. Black, Sr. who shared a wonderful marriage of 63 years together. A public viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Friday February 5, 2021 at Geiple-Predicce Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock. A private family only funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethlehem Steltz Church Cemetery, Glen Rock. Due to the COVID-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing are required and attendance in the funeral home is limited to 25 people at a time. Donna was born in New Freedom and was a daughter of the late Rhoda H. (Krout) and Ralph Singer, Sr. She retired in 2002 from Stewart Connectors in Glen Rock where she was employed as a Machine Operator and Inspector for 13 years. She was a former member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church and enjoyed gardening, flowers, raspberries, reading, sitting in the sun and spending time with her family She leaves five children, William U. Black, Jr. and his wife Christy of Mapleton, PA; Sylvia J. Bisker of New Park; Joseph M. Black; Rhoda M. Sheeler and her husband Andy; and Yvonna L. Chenowith and her husband Charles; all of New Freedom; 11 grandchildren, Olivia, Will, Sammy, Gary, Leslie, Jaramie, Carl, Jonathan, Jacqueline, David and Zachary; 11 great grandchildren, Danny, Richard, Peiton, Jasper, Kylian, Jeremy, Lily, Lexi, Ari, Bently, Mika and one on the way; a brother, Ralph Singer, Jr. of Stewartstown. She also was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley S. Wood and Doris Hunter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, 19004. A very special thank you to her nurses, Roni King, Stella Johnson, Jovonna Holmes and Amy Belle for their excellent care and also to the staff of Hospice and Community Care.
