Donald L. Day

On Monday, May 20, 2024, Donald L. Day, 93, of Greencastle, formerly of Glen Rock, passed away at Providence Place Retirement Community in Chambersburg. He was husband to the late Norma A. (Gerbrick) Day until her passing on July 22, 2022.

After graduating high school, Donald became a materials handler at AMP, Inc. for 25 years until he retired in 1989. After he retired, he became a courier for People's Bank of Glen Rock until 1996. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Glen Rock; the Glen Rock Hose and Ladder Fire Company; the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post #403 in Glen Rock; and the Glen Rock Athletic Association.

Donald is survived by two children, Wendy E. Shank and husband Dick, and Steven K. Day; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; and his mother, Helen M. Sechrist.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at 11am at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Glen Rock.
