Donald B. “Dutch” Shue Hanover Donald B. “Dutch” Shue, 89, of Homewood Home at Plum Creek, Hanover, who was formerly of Glen Rock, died Wednesday March 1, 2017 at the home. He was the husband of the late Janet M. (Fornwalt) Shue. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday March 6, 2017 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Rev. Austin Chinault, Chaplain at Homewood at Plum Creek, officiating. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Mr. Shue was born in Codorus Township on July 13, 1927 and was a son of the late George W. and Mae J. (Caslow) Shue. He graduated from Glen Rock High School in the class of 1945 and had served in the United States Merchant Marines during WWII. He retired as Head Maintenance Mechanic from the Southern York County School District after 20 years of employment and prior to that was employed with the former Glen Rock Steam Bakery for over 20 years, where he “did everything but mix dough”. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Glen Rock. He leaves two daughters, Sandra L. Greenplate and her husband Nevin of Seven Valleys, Judith A. Reed and her husband Steven of Sunbury, and Thomas L. Shue and his wife Charlene of Red Lion; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 27 Manchester Street, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
