Diane Sue Smith

On Saturday, December 25, 2021, Diane Sue (Thoman) Smith, 70, passed away at her home in Suffolk, VA, surrounded by family. She was the wife of Keith R. Smith for 48 years. Diane was born on August 14, 1951 in York to the late Allen and Arlene (Williams) Thoman. She was a 1969 graduate of Susquehannock High School, then went on to graduate from the York College School of Nursing. Diane had also worked for AMP, Inc, then Tyco Electronics for many years. She was a long-time member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church and the Seven Valleys Fire Company, including their ladies auxiliary. Diane also enjoyed spending time with her beloved granddog, Baxter. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Fiallos and husband John; one sister, Karen Reever and husband Dave and one brother, Gary Thoman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a nephew, David D. Tome. Public viewing will be from 11am until a funeral service begins at 12pm on Friday, December 31 at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, 3334 Sticks Road, Glen Rock. Interment will follow at St. Jacob's Stone Church Cemetery, Glenville. Rev. Paula Murray will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.geiple.com.
