David L. Royer East Prospect David Lee Royer, 76, died Wednesday November 28, 2018 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Karen (Mellinger) Royer with whom he celebrated a 21st wedding anniversary on April 12, 2018. A viewing for friends and family will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock. All other services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. He was born on October 28, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio and was a son of the late Glen J. and Grace Irene (Armstrong) Royer. Dave graduated from University of Dayton, with a master’s degree in electrical engineering. He retired in 2005 from Northrop Grumman in Fairfax, VA, where he was employed as an Electrical Engineer for over 30 years. He was an avid model railroader and belonged to the TCA and C&O Historical Society. He was a member and past treasurer of the Kreutz Creek Presbyterian Church, Hellam, PA. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Monique Royer Coy and her husband Thomas, and grandson Nicolas David Coy of Ankeny, Iowa; a brother, Terry Royer of Hamilton, Ohio. He was predeceased by a brother, Don Royer of Melborne, FL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
