David C. Strauss Spring Grove David C, Strauss, 56, of Spring Grove, died on Saturday January 23, 2016 at his home. He was the loving husband to Jennifer L. (Schafer) Strauss with whom he celebrated 29 years of marriage on September 20th. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday January 30, 2016 at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, with Pastor Mike Osladil officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. David was born on August 9, 1959 in Baltimore the son of the late Raymond W. and Doris I. (Koss) Strauss. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church, where he was active in their Tape Ministry, Adopt a Family Program, Soul Winners Ministry, Vacation Bible School, and was a T&T AWANA Leader. He loved the Lord with all his heart, mind, and soul. Everything he did was for the Lord. He loved the AWANA kids and sharing Christ with them. He was an avid wood worker, and enjoyed making gifts for his grandkids. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather and was very passionate with winning souls for Jesus. Besides his wife, he also leaves a daughter, Melinda R. Bollinger and her husband Allen of Mt. Juliet, TN; four sons, David W. Strauss of Spring Grove, Stephen W. Strauss and his wife Alaina of York, Andrew T. Strauss and his wife Cindy of Hanover, and Daniel T. Strauss and his fiancée Abby Zinn of Spring Grove; eight grandchildren, Amber, Katie, Ella, Lukas, and McKenna Bollinger, Zaiden, Troy, and Elliott Strauss; a sister Nancy Brown; and a brother Billy Strauss both of Manchester, MD.
