David C. Kiser Seven Valleys David C. Kiser, 89, of Seven Valleys, went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 22, 2015 at Rest Haven-York. He was the beloved husband of Bessie M. (Grimm) Kiser, with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage on October 2, 2014. Mr. Kiser was born in Shrewsbury, a son of the late Holland C. and Mina E. (Holland) Kiser. He graduated from New Freedom High School in 1943 and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving as a Sergeant in the European Theatre of Operations with the 87th Calvary 7th Armored Division. He retired in 1987 as a Security Guard with Black and Decker in Hampstead, MD following over 35 years of employment with the company. He also had farmed for many years in the Springfield Township area and was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Seven Valleys. Besides his wife, he also leaves two sons, Joseph U. Kiser and his wife Donna, Jeffery S. Kiser and his wife Mary Ann and a daughter, Diane M. Kauffman and her husband Richard, all of Seven Valleys; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a brother, Carl L. Kiser of Hanover. He was predeceased by a son David C. Kiser Jr. and a sister Kathleen Staruch. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at St. Peter’s Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, with Pastor Thomas Beck and Pastor Kerry Gingerich officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shrewsbury, with Military Rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewings will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock and on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Church.
