Cornelius E. Landis Seven Valleys Cornelius E. Landis, 87, of Seven Valleys, died Monday March 30, 2015 at Manor Care North, York following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Anna M. (Nickle) Landis, with whom he was married to for 69 years prior to her death on March 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday April 2, 2015 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Rev. Dr. Matthew Stillman, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Shaffer’s Church Cemetery, Seven Valleys. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Landis was born on April 27, 1927 in Jefferson, a son of the late Harry C. and Beulah V. (Miller) Landis. He retired from BMY – York where he was employed in Machine Maintenance for many years. He was a member of Zion Shaffer’s Lutheran Church, the Seven Valleys Community Fire Company, and the Tri-Community Ambulance, Seven Valleys. He leaves two daughters, Bettylou M. Smith and her husband Ronald, Vicki E. Friedland and her husband Saul all of Seven Valleys; three grandchildren, Wade Smith, Michelle Hare and Tracey Smith; three great grandchildren, Matthew, Tiffany and Kristy Smith; a sister, Annie J. Selby of York, two brothers, Clyde R. Landis and wife Arlene, and Dan and his wife Loretta both of Seven Valleys.
