Clifton R. Hess Clifton R. Hess, 89, formerly of Seven Valleys, died Monday July 4, 2016 at Manor Care, Dallastown. He was the loving husband to the late Rose M. (Rinehart) Hess. Friends and family are invited to a viewing and time of gathering to celebrate Clifton’s life, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Peter's Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys. A funeral service will follow at 11:00AM., with pastor Tom Beck officiating. A time of fellowship with the family will be held following the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Clifton was born in York Hospital, on November 15, 1926, the son of the late Philip M. and Grace M. (Snyder) Hess. Mr. Hess was a WWII Army Veteran, having served as a Quarter Master in the Philippines on the Island of Leyte. He was employed for 25 years at AMP, Inc., Jacobus, retiring in 1991 as a Shop Supervisor, and he worked for AMF, Glen Rock for 20 years. After he retired, he drove school bus for the Dallastown School District and Reliance Bus Company for 15 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, Seven Valleys, a past Master of Masonic Lodge #423, Shrewsbury, and a life member of the American Legion Post #605, Dallastown. He enjoyed flying, boating, motorcycle riding, walking, and camping. Clifton Leaves a grandson, Ryan E. Hess of San Francisco, and his daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hess- Hammon and her husband Ronald E. Hammon, Sr. of Alamo, TX. He was proceeded in death by a son Laverne E. Hess. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, PA 17360 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
