Claude W. Rohrbaugh

On Friday August 6, 2021, Claude W. Rohrbaugh, 71, of York, passed away at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Susan J. (Joseph) Rohrbaugh for 48 years. Claude was born February 9, 1950, in York, and was the son of the late Vernon L. and Anna L. (Myers) Rohrbaugh. He owned and operated B and R Electrical Contractors, York for almost 40 years, prior to retiring in 2015. A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, Claude's greatest joy was time spent with his family and friends. He enjoyed large game hunting in North America and had quite the collection of mounted animals and hunting stories. Claude also enjoyed camping, traveling, numerous visits to Walt Disney World, collecting cars (especially corvettes), and he was known as a man that could fix anything. Claude was a member of St. Jacob's UCC, York New Salem, the Zeredatha - White Rose Lodge No. 451 F&AM, the Vikings Athletics Association; a former member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #213, the Hawk Gunning Club, and was an equipment handler for the Spring Grove Marching Band for nine years. In addition to his wife Sue, Claude is survived by his daughter Margaret Murray and husband James "Jake"; two grandsons, Zachary and Nicholas Murray; a sister, Barbara R. Kupp and husband Thomas; a niece Caitlin Kupp; and two nephews, Christopher Kupp and Matthew Smith. A funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday August 11, 2021, at St. Jacob's U.C.C., 100 E. George St., York New Salem, with Rev. Susan D'heedene officiating. Viewings will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church.
