Clarence H. “Red” Striewig, 80, of Seven Valleys, died unexpectedly April 26, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Joann V. (Shaffer) Striewig. The couple celebrated a 61st wedding anniversary on June 16th. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 1, at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Rev. Robert S. Harris officiating. Burial with following in Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday and from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Clarence was born on May 8, 1937 in Shrewsbury and was a son of the late Clarence M. and Naomi I. (Sipe) Striewig. He was a self-employed truck driver for all his life and enjoyed working on and restoring old trucks and tractors. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Historic Truck Society. Besides his wife he leaves two children Stanley O. Striewig (Donna) of Thomasville and Sandy E. Bullard (John) of Timonium MD; two grandsons, Douglas S Frantz (Jill) and Jason W. Frantz (Joyce); a great granddaughter, Caitlyn M. Frantz; a sister, Beverly A. Jones of Seven Valleys and his faithful companion dog, Bo.
