Christian W. (Chuck) Lehneis, III, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Spring Grove, PA on February 5, 2023. Born on January 31, 1944, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Christian W. Lehneis, Jr. and Anna (Harding) Lehneis, Chris moved with his family to Pennsylvania in 1976. Chris was an avid beagler who spent many days at the Maryland Beagle Club where he volunteered and trained dogs. In 2012, he was admitted into the Braces Beagling Breeders Hall of Fame. He also loved sports and cheered for the Baltimore Ravens and loved watching the Susquehannock boy's baseball team. He also enjoyed fishing at Lake Marburg in Codorus with his fishing buddies. He was a long time member at the Glen Rock Legion Post 403. Chris started his career at Westinghouse at the age of 20 as a wireman. He advanced through the ranks of management and retired at the age of 55.
Chris is survived by his wife Kathy (Kelbaugh), son Christian Lehneis, IV (Judy), and daughter Kimberly Lehneis. He leaves behind two sisters, Ruth Kaszuba (Ed) and Frances Tatum (Ray), four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Nicholas Lehneis. He was also a stepfather to Erin (Alice) Heaps, Amy (Jonnie) Litsinger, and John Tracey and to four step-grandsons. He was dearly loved by his family and will truly be missed.
