Charles R. “Glady” Glatfelter GLEN ROCK Charles R. “Glady” Glatfelter, 86, of Glen Rock, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Barbara J. Egan Nursing Center, Shrewsbury. He was the husband of the late Madelyn R. (Fourhman) Glatfelter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with his nephew, the Rev. Adrian J. Shearer, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Glady was born July 23, 1927 in Glen Rock and was a son of the late John H. and Katie R. (Rinehart) Glatfelter. He was employed as a Forman/Supervisor with C. Joseph Deller and Son, Inc. for over 40 years. He was a member of the Glen Rock Ambulance Club and a life member of the Glen Rock Hose and Ladder Fire Company. Glady was proud of the fact that he lived and spent all of his life in Glen Rock and was proud to have worked with and cared about his former employees. He is survived by a daughter, Susan G. Runyan and her husband, David of Mt. Wolf; two sons, Charles R. Glatfelter, Jr. and Mark A. Glatfelter both of Glen Rock; two grandchildren, Chad W. Glatfelter and Casey N Tyndall and her husband John all of Delaware; a great-granddaughter, Morgan E. Pace; and a sister, Frances Rohrbaugh of Sunbury.
