On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Charles E. Kline, 82, of New Freedom, passed away peacefully at home and is now resting safe in the arms of his Lord and Savior. He was the devoted husband to Charlene (Bose) Kline for 63 1/2 years. Born on August 13, 1942 in Shrewsbury Township to the late Nolan A. and K. Amelia (Stiles) Kline, he worked for Hungerford Packing Co. for 5 years; Teledyne McKay for 29 years and ESAB Welding and Cutting Products in Hanover, where he made welding rods for 13 years.
He was a member of Glenview Alliance C&MA Church in Loganville. In his spare time, he loved fishing, especially off shore at Myrtle Beach; hunting; camping and spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his wife, Charlene; two daughters, Chrys Mohar and husband Frank of Dallastown, and Caryn Warner of Red Lion; five grandchildren, Eric Mohar and wife Mandy, Cody Mohar and wife Cassidy, Tyler Mohar and wife Lexie, Katie Warner, and Josh Warner and wife Natalie; six great-grandchildren, Jace, Faye, Taytum, Beckham, Lincoln, and Haven Mohar; one brother, Richard E. Kline of Glen Rock; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Anna Becker, Kenneth Kline and Paul Kline; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Mohar; a son-in-law, Chuck Warner.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to the Glenview Alliance C&MA Church, 10037 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
