Charles J. Burke Stewartstown Charles J. Burke, 58, of Stewartstown, died Friday October 16, 2015 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Rebecca A. (Hagan) Burke. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 AM. Tuesday October 20, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom with Rev. Robert A. Yohe, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewings will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM at the Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church. Mr. Burke was born in Baltimore on November 28, 1956 and was a son of Charles H. and Josephine M. (Deigan) Burke. He graduated from St. Clements High School in Baltimore and received his BA degree from the University of Baltimore. He was a self-employed Realtor and Appraiser for over 25 years until December of 2014. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a former member of the Maryland Association of Appraisers. He also enjoyed boating on Codorus Lake in Hanover and was an avid Baltimore Ravens, Orioles and NASCAR fan. He was an advocate for animals and loved his six rescued poodles. Besides his wife, he also leaves, a daughter, Lindsey Mae Josephine Burke of Stewartstown, a son Joshua S. Burke of Millersville, a sister, Denise E. Burke of Baltimore and many other relatives from the Pittsburgh area. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rebecca A.
