Charles "Chick" Hengst, Iii

On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Charles "Chick" Hengst, III, 68, of York, passed away at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York. He was the husband of the late Iva Jane (Harbaugh) Hengst for 21 years before her passing in 2014. Chick was born on May 4, 1954 in York to the late Beulah (Kline) and Charles Hengst, Jr. He was a heavy machine operator and worked for Fitz and Smith, Inc. in Dallastown for many years before he retired. A Pittsburg Steelers fan, Chick also used to be an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, crabber and bowler.

He is survived by two sisters, Linda Sleeger-Williams and Julie Shenberger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Public viewing for Chick will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM until a funeral service begins at 11:00 AM at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock.
