Charles A. Thomas

On Thursday, June 9, 2022, Charles A. Thomas, 79, of Stewartstown passed away at ProMedica South in York. He was the devoted husband to Carolyn (Miller) Thomas. Charles was born on April 14, 1943 in Codorus Township to the late Raymond and Violet (Hershey) Thomas. He attended Susquehannock High School, then went on to work for the Thomas and Diehl Meat Market and then Amp, Inc. After working for AMP, he became a full time farmer with his wife on their farm in Stewartstown. Charles was a member of New Hope (Fissel's) Church in Glen Rock, and enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music. He was also an avid woodworker, often making end tables, lamps and beds for his family. Charles is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two siblings, Evelyn Diehl and Harold Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Estella Gantz. Public viewing will be held on Monday, June 13 from 6pm to 8pm at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Another viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 14 from 10AM until a funeral service begins at 11AM at New Hope (Fissel's) Church, 3426 Fissel's Church Road, Glen Rock, PA 17327. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Tom Beck will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to the church at the address above.
