Cassandra L. Thoman Jacobus Cassandra L. “Sandy” (Clayton) Thoman, 72 of Jacobus, died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at York Hospital. She was the wife of David L. Thoman, with whom she celebrated a 54th wedding anniversary, June 24th 2015. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Grace Bible Church, 18 West Main Street, New Freedom, with Pastor Adam R. Burtt, officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church. There will be no viewing and private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Sandy was born on June 4, 1943 in York and was a daughter of Catherine V. (Hutchins) Clayton of York and the late Robert H. Clayton. She graduated from Dallastown High School in 1961 and was a member of Grace Bible Church. She very much adored and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Besides her husband and mother, she leaves, two daughters, Diane L. Frey and her husband Jeffrey Flinchbaugh of Dallastown and Dawn S. Kreeger and her husband Brian of York; a son, Douglas D. Thoman and his wife Cristine of Seven Valleys; grandchildren, Jordon Frey, Jennifer Pierce and her husband Tony, Zachary Thoman, Alexander Kreeger and his wife Angel, Carly Paules and her husband Tyler, Benjamin Frey and Brady Thoman; a great grandson Chase Frey; two sisters, Rosemary Glatfelter of Conway SC. and Karen Crumrine of York and a brother, Craig Clayton of Dover. She was also predeceased by a brother Robert Mark Clayton. In lieu of flowers, the family desires that memorial contributions be made to Katallasso Family Health Center, 38 S. Belvidere Avenue, York, PA 17401 or to the York Rescue Mission, PO Box 1968, York, PA 17405-1968.
