Carroll R. Seitz York Carroll R. Seitz, 85, of York, died Friday April 22, 2016 at his home following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Betty H. (Howard) Seitz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with his pastor the Rev. Ed Robbins, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 PM Monday and from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday At the funeral home. Mr. Seitz was born in Shrewsbury Township on October 16, 1930, a son of the late Franklin H. and Anna Mae (Rohrbaugh) Seitz. He graduated from Glen Rock High School in 1948 and was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean Conflict. Carroll was employed as a Foreman, Sales Person, Service Manager and in Maintenance in the Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration business for most of his life. He worked for Goodling Oil, Shipley Energy, Worden and Shewell and at York College all in York. He also was an instructor for the Refrigeration Service Engineering Society. He was a Member and Past President of the York County Bowling Association and was inducted into the York County Bowlers Hall of Fame in 1993. He also was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Glen Rock and Life Member of the Viking Athletic Association. He is survived by two daughters, Mickey K. Roberson and husband George of Ocracoke, NC, Brenda J. Snyder and husband Randy of York; two sons, Kerry J. Seitz of Ocracoke, NC and Dennis C. Seitz and wife Carol of Thomasville; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and his good friend, Lucille Decker of Loganville and Benji his pet dog. He also was predeceased by five brothers, Mervin E, Nevin F, Millard L. “Jake”, Walter A. and Paul H. Seitz.
