Burnell F. Mummert

Burnell F. Mummert, 88, of Autumn House East, York, who was formerly of Loganville, died, Friday February 23, 2018 at the home. He was the husband of the late Arlene E. (Mummert) Mummert. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday February 28, 2018 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with his pastor, Rev. Douglas DeStephano, officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Loganville. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Mummert was born on November 28, 1929 in Jackson Township and was a son of the late Freizer U. and Fannie M. (Bortz) Mummert. Burnell served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was employed with York Casket Company for over 35 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Loganville and the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post #403, Glen Rock. He leaves a daughter, Esther J. Mummert of Glassboro, NJ; and a son, Lester D. Mummert and his wife, Peggy of Red Lion; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Asana Hospice, 4813 Jonestown Road, Suite 201, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
