Betya Rabinovich

Betya Rabinovich, 87, died Sunday July 1, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday July 8, 2018 at South Hill Hebrew Cemetery 2101 Old Baltimore Pike, York, with Rabbi Peter Kessler, officiating. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of the arrangements. Betya was born in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on April 25, 1931. A survivor of World War II, she worked as a mechanical engineer for over 30 years. She was also a talented cook, baker and seamstress. In 1993, she moved to York to be with her son and family and helped to raise her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Boris Fridman of York and two grandchildren, Marina and Alexander Fridman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Family Services of York, 2000 Hollywood Dr., York, PA 17403.
