Betty J Hirschfield

Betty J. (Lehmayer) Hirschfield, 94, of York, died Thursday August 16, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of the late Philip E. Hirschfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday August 21, 2018 at Temple Beth Israel, 2090 Hollywood Drive, York. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Officiating at the service will be Rabbi Jeffrey Astrachan. The Geiple Funeral Home Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Hirschfield was born on June 16, 1924 in York, a daughter of the late Joseph and Edna (Green) Lehmayer. She graduated from the York Collegiate Institute, a member Temple Beth Israel and the York Jewish Community Center. Betty leaves three daughters, Jo Ann Stone (Herbert) of York, Phyllis L. Hirschfield Schnoll (Sidney), of Samford CT., and Linda L. LoBianco of West Palm Beach, Fl.; four grandsons, Jeremy, Matthew, Noah and Evan; two step-grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Beth Israel, 2090 Hollywood Drive, York, PA 17403; or to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg PA 17110.
