Betty A. Decker-Starklauf

On Thursday, February 22, 2024, Betty A. Decker-Starklauf, 88, passed away peacefully at SpiriTrust Lutheran-Zimmerman Place in Shrewsbury. She was the loving wife of the late Herman Starklauf. Betty was born in York to the late Charles E. and Ruth A. (Bubb) Decker. She graduated from Sunbury High School in 1953, and has resided in York County since 2002. In 1997, Betty retired from Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, where she was a secretary in the Administration Office and then the Development Office. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church-Hametown and Order of the Easter Star Chapter #266 in Sunbury.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother, William A. Decker.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 27 from 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 11:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Hametown, 11894 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock, PA 17327. Interment will follow in Red Lion Cemetery. Rev. Katie R. Brantner will officiate.
