Benjamin "Ben" Godfrey

Benjamin "Ben" Godfrey, 43, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away on April 28, 2024, at his home. He was born October 10, 1980, in York, Pennsylvania to Stanley, Jr. and Nancy (Thompson) Godfrey.

Surviving are his parents, Stanley and Nancy Godfrey of New Paris, IN; 3 brothers, Joe (Laura) Godfrey, Fort Wayne, IN, Dan (Jenni) Godfrey, New Paris, IN, Sam (Nadine) Godfrey, Goshen, IN; and his nieces and nephews: Aubrey, Eli, Isaac, Marta, Silas, Deklan, Maeven, Jocelyn, Selah, and Elliana; and a grandmother, Florence Thompson of York, PA.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, E. Gerald Thompson, and Stanley and Delores Godfrey.

Ben was a former Pastor at Codorus Church of the Brethren in Dallastown, Pennsylvania. He worked at Godfrey Brother's Meats in Loganville, Pennsylvania, and was currently working at The Element Masters in Middlebury, Indiana as an installation technician. He was a member of New Paris Church of the Brethren, where he was very active as youth leader and church board member. Ben was also involved in the youth worship team and church choirs. He enjoyed playing church league softball, and loved music, all types. He enjoyed playing pickleball and skiing. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. Ben had a servant's heart, he was a friend to everyone, and loved sharing about Jesus with others.

Public Viewing will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, May 10, 2024, and and again on Saturday, May 11, from 9 am until a funeral service begins at 10 am, all being held at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, Dallastown, PA 17313. Pastor Eric Ritenour will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
