Barry Bricker

Barry E. Bricker York, Pa Barry E. Bricker, 61, of York, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy. He was the husband of April M. (Gallatin) Bricker, with whom he celebrated a 41st wedding anniversary on June 14. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Zion (Shaffer’s) United Lutheran Church, 4535 Shaffer Road, Seven Valleys, with his interim pastor the Rev. Jack Dyson, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glen Rock. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday at the church. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of the arrangements. Barry was born in York on October 16, 1954, a son of Jacob R. Bricker Jr. of Glen Rock and Betty L. (Wilson) Rudy of York. He was a 1972 graduate of Susquehannock High School and became a Master Plumber after continuing his education at York Vo-Tech. In 1984, he went to work with his father and since 1998, he was the owner of Jacob R. Bricker and Son Plumbing and Heating. Prior to that he had worked at the former John W. Kirchner Inc. Seven Valleys as a Route Driver. Barry and his wife also operated Bricker’s Deer Hides in Seven Valleys for over 25 years. He was a member of Zion Shaffer’s Lutheran Church, the York County Builders Association and Gideon’s International. Barry also leaves, a daughter, Marie L. Sherry and her husband RJ of Dallas GA; a son, Eugene D. Bricker of York; two grandsons, Jacob W. and Nathan R. Sherry; two sisters, Shirley A. Kline and husband Robert of Spring Grove, Lori A. Trostel and husband Craig of Windsor and a step sister, Michelle A. Rudy of Hanover. He was predeceased by a son Barry E. Bricker Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O.
