Arlene L. Dieter

Arlene L. Dieter Shrewsbury Arlene L. (Blakeslee) Dieter, 88, of Shrewsbury, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Leroy E. Dieter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday February 17, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N Constitution Avenue, New Freedom with Rev. Father Joshua R. Brommer, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing held Sunday night from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA. Mrs. Dieter was born on October 13, 1925 in Binghamton, NY, a daughter of the late John S. and Clara M. (Stiefel) Blakeslee. She was a secretary at Leader Nursing Home, Dallastown for a few years and prior to that she worked for Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She moved to Glen Rock in 1977 having formerly lived in Dundalk, MD. Arlene also was an active member and volunteer at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was a part of the Women’s Council and St. John’s Jewels. She enjoyed doing needle point. Arlene leaves a Son, Michael E. Dieter and his wife Pamela of Sykesville, MD; Two daughters, Judy L. Hoffmann and her husband Bob, and Sharen Lee Vance and her husband Bill, all of Glen Rock; ten grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Robert J. Blakeslee.
