Anna Mummert

Anna Mummert York Anna (Kessler) Mummert, 91, of the Brunswick at Longstown, who was formerly of Seven Valleys, died Sunday November 9, 2014 at the York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ralph M. Mummert. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with the pastor Don Clark of New Hope Bible Church, Seven Valleys, officiating. Burial will be in Zion (Shaffer’s) Church Cemetery, Seven Valleys. There will be no viewing. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Mummert was born on September 13, 1923 in Seven Valleys, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Miller) Kessler. She had worked for Savada Brothers Sewing Company, Glen Rock and South Pine Nightwear, Seven Valleys for many years. Anna was a member of Zion (Shaffer’s) United Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. Mrs. Mummert is survived by a son-in-law, Michael Stump of Jacobus; a grandson, Bradley Stump of Seven Valleys; and a sister Ethel Beck also of Seven Valleys. She was predeceased by a daughter Doris J. Stump; two sisters, Eva Sweitzer, and Nettie Markle; and a brother, Walter Kessler.
