Anita L. Martin

York - Anita L. (Sweitzer) Martin, 73, died of natural causes on October 11, 2018 at her home in York. Anita was born October 24, 1944, near New Freedom, a daughter of the late Carroll H. and Marie G. (Eikenberry) Sweitzer. She graduated from Susquehannock High School in 1963 and in 1974, earned a B.S. in Behavioral Science at York College. She was loved by the many people that she cared for during her time as an elder care provider. Anita is survived by her three younger siblings, Glenn Sweitzer of Muncie, IN; Kent Sweitzer (Sarah) of Middleton, WI; Beth Sweitzer-Riley (James) of Silver Lake, IN; her sister-in-law Connie Sweitzer of Glen Rock; several nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Wendell Sweitzer and John Martin. She will be remembered for her generous heart, sense of humor, and concern for others. She maintained a positive spirit despite the challenges of life she faced. Anita will be cremated according to her wishes and no services are scheduled at this time. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc.
