Ammon R. Alban Glen Rock Ammon R. Alban, 81 of Glen Rock, died Thursday March 5, 2015 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Shirley R. (Spangler) Alban, with whom he observed a 58th wedding anniversary December 8, 2014. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Rev. Wayne A. Shamer, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob’s (Stone) Church Cemetery, Glenville. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Alban was born on June 5, 1933 in Codorus Township and was a son of the late Russell F. and Effie J. (Messersmith) Alban. He graduated from the Glenville High School in 1951 and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1995 from AMP, Inc. where he was a machinist for over 44 years. He also did machining at his home for many years. He was a member of the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post #403, Glen Rock, the Bean Club of Glenville and the Brothers of the Brush Glen Rock. Besides his wife, he also leaves two daughters, Tina M. Alban of York and Amy L. Hughes of Glenville; a grandson Zachary Hughes and a brother James Alban of Glen Rock. Memorial contributions be made to Hanover Hall Nursing Center, 267 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
