Allen Kenneth Roser

On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, Allen Kenneth Roser, 57, of York, passed away due to complications of a rare condition, FOSMN (Facial Onset Sensory and Motor Neuronopathy). He was the devoted husband of Joseph L. Souders, II. Allen was born on July 12, 1965 in York to Arville Mae (Amspacher) and Kenneth L. Roser, Jr. He graduated from South Western High School in 1983. In 1988 he graduated with honors from the York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration. Allen retired as a manager for the PA Dept. of Human Services in 2021. In his spare time, he was an avid gardener, loved to travel, enjoyed learning, and keeping up with different weather conditions and astronomy. He was a model train enthusiast and enjoyed collecting Pfaltzgraff pottery. Allen loved spending time at the beach with his family and going to the mountains to relax. Hawaii and Vermont were two of his favorite places to visit. He loved his dogs and felt there was no love like a dog's love.

Allen is survived by his husband, Joe; parents, Arville and Kenneth; grandfather, Kenneth L. Roser, Sr.; sister, Kimberly Smith and husband Will; niece, Mackenzie Marbain; mother-in-law, Helen (Barthalow) Barnhart; sister-in-law, Helen Straley; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and his three dogs, Sasha, Holly and Coco. He was preceded in death by three grandparents, Helen (Koller) Roser, Amos and Kathryn (Henry) Amspacher; and pets, Gracie, Izzy, and Ms. Marple.

A time of memory sharing will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 2:00pm at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
