Adella M Shaffer

Adella M. Shaffer York Adella M. (Roser) Shaffer, 87, of Kelly Manor, York, who was formerly of Seven Valleys, died Friday April 12, 2013 at the home. She was the wife of the late Ervin W. Shaffer. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2013 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1030 Carlisle Road, York with her pastor the Rev. Bruce E. Fensterbush, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Shaffer’s Church Cemetery, Seven Valleys. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the church cemetery. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Shaffer was born in Springfield Township on October 3, 1925, a daughter of the late Daniel H. and Leafy (Warner) Roser. She retired in 1991, from the former Seven Valleys Garment Company where she was employed as a seamstress for over 41 years. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Light Bearers Sunday School Class. She was a former member of Zion Shaffer’s Lutheran Church where she sung on the church choir for many years. She was also member of the Jefferson AARP Chapter #3699, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Seven Valleys Fire Company and the Democratic Club of Western York County. Adella is survived by a daughter, Karen S. Brenneman and her husband, Jeff of York, a son Michael D. Shaffer and his wife Marcy of York, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson, and a brother, Dale L. Roser of Spring Grove. She was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda J. Shaffer and by three sisters and two brothers.
