Kathryn R. Seitz

Kathryn R. Seitz York Kathryn R. (Helzer) Seitz, 102, died Tuesday at Normandie Ridge Nursing Home, York, where she had lived for the past six years. She was the wife of Michael W. Seitz, to whom she was married to for 66 years prior to his passing in 1996. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, York with her pastor the Rev. Elizabeth C. Polanzke, officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Sunday at the Church. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Seitz was born in January 21, 1911 in York, a daughter of the late William Franklin and Anna (Emswiler) Helzer. She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church and of the York Engineers Auxiliary. Formerly of York Hills Apartments, she was known to her friends as Cassie or Kay and was an avid bridge player. She also enjoyed knitting many things, including caps and stockings that were donated to Stitches of Love. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael W. Jr. and D. Moninne Seitz of York; five grandchildren, Moninne (Seitz) Inners, Christine (Seitz) McCauslin, Karen (Bennett) Hailstone, Kevin Bennett and Kirk Bennett; 10 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis Martha (Seitz) and Richard Bennett. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community, 1700 Normandie Drive, York, PA 17408 or to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, York, PA 17403.
