Carol A. Heltzel

Carol A. Heltzel Spring Grove Carol A. (Dittenhafer) Heltzel, 64, of Spring Grove, died Friday June 2, 2017 surrounded by her children and husband at the York Hospital, following a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was the companion of the late Mark L. Becker. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Ave. Hanover, with Rev. Michael Osladil, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Loganville. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock and from 9:00-10:30 AM Wednesday at Calvary Bible Church. Carol was born on August 22, 1952 in York, and is the daughter of Jennie M. (Stanton) Dittenhafer Lehman of Jacobus, and the late Edmund Dittenhafer. She worked as a certified EMT for White Rose Ambulance (Formerly Quality Care), York. Carol was the EMS Captain and member of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company where she also served in the Women’s Auxiliary. She was also a member of Calvary Bible Church, Hanover, a Life member of Friendship Hose Co., Spring Grove, and York County Fire Police Association. Carol loved cooking, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Carol leaves a Daughter Samantha A. Hershey and her husband Jason; two sons, Timothy S. Heltzel and his wife Tammy and Adam S. Heltzel and his wife Molly all of Spring Grove; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; her previous husband Wilson “Sam” Heltzel, of Spring Grove; and a brother Edmund Dittenhafer of Myrtle Beach, SC.
