The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Franklin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Not to long ago I saw Johnny again after many years apart. We reunited at Will Blades' funeral service, and although sadden by the family's loss we found ourselves laughing out loud as we often had done... sharing fishing stories, hiking adventures and just picking up where we left off too many years ago. John and I were both war veterans (different wars of course), both business owners and sheet metal workers. We both married a Blades and fathered 2 beautiful daughters. And John (without pressure) helped me to understand a God (THE GOD) that I would later accept as my Lord and Savoir. I will be forever grateful for having known him, and I'm a better man because I did! I'll miss you brother!

Condolence: John never wrote any leadership books or taught any leadership seminars but he certainly was a leader. He was the spiritual leader in his home, he was a foreman at work, a scouting leader, a church youth leader, a deacon and perhaps most importantly, he led many people to faith in Christ. I think he'll have many crowns to cast at the feet of his Master. He will be missed. I hope he's on my welcoming committee when I go home.
