The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of R. Laverne Gladfelter can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I remember "Gladdy" from Bonair Country Club. Always a nice guy, very sweet. Missed him very much when I saw he no longer came to play golf or socialize. Sympathy and condolences to his family.

Condolence: I had the great pleasure of knowing Robert through my musical performances at Country Meadows in York. While he dealt with the difficulties of Alzheimer's, he always bore a positive spirit. I can remember when he would arrive during my concerts. He would look over at the piano, hear the music, and instantly begin to smile. Quick story... during a patriotic tribute in 2017, I performed a medley of tunes attributed to various branches of service - Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. While we sang for the Navy, I looked over at Robert, and he proudly saluted... still smiling by the way. He truly did brighten my day on that occasion and others. He will be missed by many. May God's blessing be upon those who were close with him, especially his family and friends.
